On April 25, 2007, the FCC released a NPRM regarding the upcoming 700 MHz spectrum auction. The 700 MHz band is extremely exciting due to the fact that signals in 700 MHz travel about four times farther than those on bands used by the wireless and electronics industry today. Current rulemaking sets a January 28, 2008 deadline for commencement of this auction.
