FEATURES
The NEW Dual-Driven Linear-loaded 40M4LLDD gets the bandwidth and maintains the performance that no other reduced size antenna can offer. This huge challenge required the latest techniques in computer optimization. It is now better electrically and mechanically and easier to assemble. Now, only the element tips do the tuning. Two tuning options are offered, "Full Band: and "Low end accentuated" but still broad band. The resulting design is head and shoulders above the competition in strength, durability, and performance...a package designed to meet your CW crossband SSB contesting needs and give you years of enjoyment on the 40 meter band.
Mechanically, all the elements have sleeved butts for additional strength and are clamped between massive CNC machined aluminum (6061-T6) element mounting plates which WILL defy Mother Nature! The Driven elements are split and insulated with a 1-1/4" dia. solid fiberglass rod and fed with a weather sealed coaxial 1:1 balun rated for 3 kW continous, 5 kW peak duty. All hardware, except U-bolts, is stainless steel.
The Linear loaded elements are 3/16 inch aluminum rod (6061-T6), elevated slightly at boom center to reduce inductive cancellation (requiring LESS loading), improve ice loading survival, reduce mechanical stress, and minimize element droop. In the air, the antenna is easily mistaken for a 15 or 20 meter Yagi. Belieive it... This not just another 40 meter Yagi !
