M2 Antenna Systems started out building high quality satellite communications antennas for the government. Building on Mike Staal’s early successes as an engineering working for Stanford Research Institute, our company has excelled in producing innovative, high quality RF products to meet demanding communications needs for the government, military, space and, the research and scientific communities.

We also produce off-the-shelf products for wireless internet service providers (WiSPs), commercial two-way service providers, and the mining industry. From high-performance HF Yagis to innovative dish feeds well into the microwave region, M2 produces the finest antennas, positioners, and accessories around, and we offer an equally impressive array of services.

Our antennas are computer modeled, optimized, and tested at our Fresno, California facility. Our products are made right here in the United States of high quality aluminum and steel. All parts are computer numerically controlled (CNC) or manually machined by expert machinists who understand that quality counts. All of our positioners are designed to withstand extreme conditions and provide years of heavy-duty pointing accuracy. From our low cost OR-2800PX and MT-1000A Azimuth and Elevation systems, to our AE1000S Servo Motor systems, the same level of care and craftsmanship is put into every system built. Each system comes fully documented and ready to be put to work in your application.

M2’s accessory line also covers a full range of rigid tube and flexible coaxial power dividers, precision phasing lines, and switching products. We can accommodate most power levels from microwatts to megawatts. Our mast-mounted low noise amplifier (LNA) receive preamplifiers can be built to cover most frequency ranges.

The AZEL1000 Series antenna positioner is a versatile pedestal with the ability to adapt to many different types of antenna configurations. With dish mount (AZEL1000) & (AZEL1000S) and counter balance options or with through the center construction (AZEL1000CB) & (AZEL1000SCB) for phased arrays, the AZEL1000 Series can be adapted to fit your requirements. Dual worm gear drive train with adjustments, gives you smooth powerful movement with less than .03 degrees of system backlash. The AZEL1000 Series is available in our DC Brush Motor Systems and also in the new Servo Systems for more accuracy and maximum velocity of 8 degress per second. *For more details click on the picture above.

The ACU was developed for the M2 AZ/EL Pedestal Models (AZEL1000S) & (AZEL1000SCB) that use the Servo/Animatic Smart Motor Technology. The ACU uses COTS (Commercial off the shelf) products to insure repeatability and short lead times. The ACUs' software system is designed around the open source LINUX based operating system. Developed for M2 by TCS, a world leader in highly reliability products for the Aerospace, Military and industrial markets. The GUI uses a state of the art modern software with velocity, position and slave modes of operation. A complete Interface Control Document (ICD) is supplied to allow for custom user applications. azel1500-web-art.jpg The AZEL1500 is a custom prototype Elevation over Azimuth tracking pedestal designed for one of our elite data collecting customers. Designed to handle up to a 3.8M (12') dish. The AZEL1500 utilize COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) materials along with a proven platform. This system can be completely operated from the customer's desktop, notebook or system network. The pedestal's accuracy is accomplished through the use of mature servo compensation algorithms which have been developed over years of operation on some of the most complex antenna pedestals in the world. configurations. The AZEL1500 Servo system can be adapted to fit your requirements. Dual worm gear drive train with adjustments gives smooth powerful movement with less than .03 degree system backlash. The physical limit switches on each axis can be adjusted for any spectrum of use. The *NEW ACU (Antenna Control Unit) Controller Series can be adapted for your Environment, including Temperature Controlled NEMA 3R or NEMA 4 Enclosures. Custom designs can be configured for your Dish feed and or Dish including feed attachment arms, or we can supply our custom built Septum Feeds for your (S-Band) or (L-Band) requirements. For small phased arrays, we can provide a complete Turnkey System including cross boom, vertical risers and complete (Linear), (Circular) or (Helical) systems to meet your needs.
